Searching text data for words and substrings is deceptively difficult to do efficiently. What are the options, and how do they compare? This talk will compare several solutions for full text search, including MyISAM FULLTEXT, InnoDB FULLTEXT, Sphinx Search, Apache Solr, and trigraphs.
